Reviews: Edward prefers realistic SF but will read most things in the genre and has a soft spot for old action-oriented pulps and monster stories. He doesn't read much fantasy, but will consider it if it's short and the characters are unusual (think Elric, not Lord Of The Rings). No sparkly vampires, steampunk that tries harder to be cool than real (think Moorcock or Bryan Talbot, not Joe Lansdale), or horror that tries harder to be gross than scary. No erotica, though sex is OK if it's not the focus of the story.
